Forest School

Early Years have been thoroughly enjoying their Forest School sessions this autumn. With the season in full swing, there has been much to explore and discover in our woodland area.

Learning Through Nature

The children have been learning about seasonal changes, identifying different types of leaves, and observing wildlife in their natural habitats. They’ve built dens, created nature art, and participated in outdoor games that develop their physical and social skills.

Building Confidence

Forest School provides a unique learning environment where children can take measured risks, build confidence, and develop resilience. Activities like climbing trees, using tools, and exploring the natural world help develop independence and problem-solving skills.

The sessions have also been wonderful for building teamwork and communication skills as children work together on various projects and challenges.

Looking Ahead

As we move into winter, the Forest School sessions will continue with activities adapted to the changing seasons. We’re excited to see what the children will discover and learn in the months ahead.
